Tim grew up in Ontario, New York, where he still lives today. Home is his grandparent’s farmhouse, shared with his best friend –his wife.Tim’s first camera was a Christmas gift he received in his teens. While working on the yearbook as a photographer and the photo editor, he got his first taste of photographing school sports teams and has been hooked ever since. In 1990, he graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photographic Illustration. He started his photographic career working as a freelance assistant with several commercial photographers. After five years of real-life experience, he opened his own studio. In the past years, Tim has been building his reputation into the fine professional photography studio it is today.
Tim cares passionately about all of the images he creates, especially those captured in the great outdoors. Tim’s love of nature began as a Boy Scout, achieving the honor rank of Eagle. In 1982, he took a six-month sabbatical and successfully hiked the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Maine’s Mount Katahdin. That memorable experience sparked the names for his two kittens—Springer and Katie.
